October Supplies for Ukrainian defenders on the Eastern front

The town of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region is a strategic location: this is the hotspot where the Ukrainian defenders are fighting tooth and nail against the massive russian onslaught. This town has now become world-famous as a symbol of Ukraine’s valiant resistance. On October 8-9, my friend and I went to the frontlines in this key operational area to deliver most of the supplies from our previous “Protect Ukrainian Defenders” fundraiser.

November Supplies to four Ukrainian Brigades

Dear donors, It’s time to tell you more about how your donations are helping our defenders. In our supply runs in November, we delivered equipment to Ukrainian medics from four Brigades, who had previously requested our help. Two of them are fighting in the North-East, and two in Donetsk region. All of these medics have senior positions in their units, so we know that they allocate the supplies in the best way possible. Half of our recipients were women and half were men. They are all selfless and kind.

Our Team

We are a group of civilian volunteers who crowdfund to buy medical equipment and non-lethal technical devices for Ukraine's Armed Forces. We then deliver these supplies ourselves to the frontlines to those Ukrainian military units who need them most. We have procured supplies worth over $200 thousand. We all have day jobs and donate a big part of our own incomes to the cause. But our financial resources are not limitless, so we need external support to keep doing this work in the long run.

What Ukraine’s bloody battlefield is teaching medics

“I have not seen such a spike in the demand for tourniquets since June last year,” says Evgen Vorobiov, a lawyer in Kyiv who works as a volunteer with six different brigades.

A few words from our supporters

“Donating money is the least we can do to even start paying back Ukrainian servicemen for all their sacrifices and bravery. And we just cannot imagine a better way to spend our spare money than to fund equipment that may literally save someone’s life. Слава Україні!”

"Dear Ukrainian Defenders, your bravery, spirit and endurance are remarkable and inspiring. I'm very happy to be able to support you even a little in your fight against the Orcs. Polish people (due to our history) can very good relate to your fight and understand your determination. За нашу і вашу свободу!"

“Dear Ukrainian people defending your country. I’m deeply impressed of your willingness to defend your country, your people and the western world. Unfortunately I can only support you by ensuring you get protectives and medical equipment urgently needed. It makes me proud to support defenders like you! Slava Ukraini!"

“Today is Veteran's Day in the USA, and Armistrice Day for much of the world. This donation is in honor of all veterans of war, including those currently protecting Ukraine. I thank them for their service in times of difficuly and in triumph."

“Thank you for all your updates. It’s great to see your photos of the brave defenders who are fighting for Ukraine’s freedom. I greatly admire your efforts in this epic struggle to defeat the evil that is trying to destroy the country. I heard that there is a new offensive coming, so I’m happy to help however I can"

Why Donate to Us?

  1. We spend your money only on supplies

We do not spend any donated funds on subsistence, fuel, vehicle repair, customs clearance or administrative expenses. We cover those from our own pockets. We procure the goods directly, without any intermediaries, so we buy at best value for your donations.

  2. We are here, on the ground in Ukraine

We personally ensure bringing the purchased goods to the units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces that we support, and we act fast to move those supplies to where they are needed right now.

  3. We have earned the trust of defenders

We have built direct contacts with commanders and combat medics, who can count on us. We discuss their needs extensively before ordering any supplies. This ensures that we know the exact quantity of specific items that are needed at this very moment.

  4. We know tactical medicine

Before this large-scale war, Sergii and Evgen had taken several extensive training courses on pre-hospital medical care. We also keep deepening our knowledge of tactical medicine and TCCC protocols every day.

  5. We are transparent and honest in our work

We report about all the donated funds and about the expenditures from those funds. We are open to any questions about our purchases and handovers, to the extent that the security concerns allow.

  6. We have “skin in the game”

We had spent our own funds before launching large-scale fundraisers, and we’ll keep chipping in with our own money for these purchases as we earn money in our official jobs.

What our defenders say about us

"These are exactly the kind of backpacks that our combat medics need now. And the prices of your procurement are excellent"

"They are the only volunteer group that systematically helps our medical team and responds to our requests. For now, thanks to their effort, they have covered our unit's needs in tourniquets, hemostatics, bandages and chest seals"

"Thank you for your support, it is hard to overestimate it. As the practice shows, tourniquets, bandages, and chest seals really save lives of servicemen. Thank you for your work and help!"

"Thank you for the medical backpacks that you have donated! They are really awesome: my evacuation teams find them useful and convenient."

“These guys have provided us with badly-needed CAT tourniquets after our unit was sent to the Eastern frontlines”

"Thank you for your help, it would be much more difficult for us without you"

"The enemy shelling has cut off our energy supply, so the power stations you have donated are now saving us"

"Huge thanks to you! I hope that we will be using these supplies as little as possible"
